Reaction To Clone
On our second day of filming we had to use an immense amount of teamwork and this required alot of effort. Using our determination we managed to use special camera effects which were done by our specialist editor Aaron Virdi. We also used different camera angles for example we used "point of view" to make our audience/target market feel like they were in the film itself.
Our first shot was the over the shoulder shot, this made the audience recognise who was the protagonist and the victim. Showing the 2 clones over the shoulder shot, made it effective as it symbolised the great danger the victim was in. Aaron created the clones by filming at each side of the camera and using a special programme. He explains this in a previous post which is posted on my blog below.
The next shot of the scene is a medium shot, this is where "Wayne" (Sim Grewall) is encountered by the clones, it clearly states who the protagonist is. After this there is a fall, this shows the facial expressions on Wayne's face.
The final shot is where Wayne wakes up and the camera shot is a point of view shot, this shows the audience what Wayne is going through. Wayne gets up and is encoutered by a punch by a third clone.
The eyes on the clone change from brown to red- which symbolises death, danger - to blue which symbolises anxiety and evil, to green which sybolises amusement.

Aaron Virdi Our Specialist Editor Explains How To Do The Demonic Face
When editing the faces of the clones i wanted to use advanced media techniques to make them scary. I also used this technique will Tyga's face to make him scary.
First i filmed the clone footage and loaded up the clips on Adobe after effects
Then i inserted a new adjustment layer and masked the face of the character
I then used the colour balance tool to change the colour of the face. As you can see from the image below, I repeated the previous steps with the eyes, blood camouflage lines and trees.
I then used the stopwatch tool to change the opacity of the mask and fade it in with the characters
Lastly I feathered the colours to make them more realistic and frightening.
To finish the video, i exported the video to avi format and cut it into the scene.
How I Did The Makeup On Characters
To make our characters scary Aysha Rajpoot (the make up artist) used her make up skills to give Tyga a realistic and quite frightening appearance. The video below shows the process and Aysha explains what she is trying to achieve.
Bloopers And Fun Moments
Here are some fun moments that we had during our time filming. Also contains some directing.
Aaron Virdi Our Specialist Editor Explains How To Do The Clone Effect
The program i used for the cloning technique was Adobe After Effects. The reason i did not used Final Cut Pro was because i was familiar with the available tools and effects. I found After effects more user friendly and it gave me a wider range of tools to work with. Below is the steps.
First i took two shots of me walking to the camera in two different positions (left and right). It was imperative that the camera did not move as the effect would be ruined otherwise. The movement seen in the chase sequence is a effect used.
I then loaded up After Effects and imported both videos. I then clicked the first clip and used the mask tool to choose the range of the character. The yellow square on the picture shows the mask tool and the character range. The mask tool allows the two character to be fused into one video. The still camera allows this to happen as the background is the same for both shots. I timed the two shots to make it look like the clones jumped at the same time.
I then feathered the mask out to make sure it was not visible in the clip, without feathering it would be obvious that the clips were split because there would be a line through the middle of the shot.
Lastly, i exported the clip into avi format and edited in with the other clips using Final Cut Pro and Movie Maker.

Script
Delusion
A film screenplay by
Shakeel Mirza, Aaron Virdi, Aysha Rajpoot and Simran Grewal
FADE IN FROM BLACK
SFX: Ghostly screams and backlash sounds.
Ext. The Crane Park
LS of different view points of the setting, starting with the treetops, showing the sun gleaming through them, but with a creepy effect instead of a joyful emotion.
Fades to a LS of the river. The reflection on the water is first interpreted as forest fog, but the reality soon comes clear.
Fades to a shaky LS of the shot tower present in the park. This shot is when the SFX becomes most intense and thrilling, to signify to the audience the relevance of this shot later in the film.
Music: Tense, survival themed.
Fades to a high angle shot looking down a mud hill. Seconds into this shot, Wayne [the victim] runs down panting and scared, trying to escape from something.
Low angle shot appears, showing Wayne completing the rest of the run down the hill.
LS appears showing Wayne running across a green in the park, present at the end of the mud hill. The end of this shot includes a slow down effect to emphasise on Wayne jumping over a ditch.
A very low angle shot appears just under Wayne's feet as he completes his jump over the ditch.
Fades into a POV shot as Wayne runs through the trees and bamboo sticks of the park. Very shaky and breathy to add tension.
A side MS appears as Wayne jumps over a log.
A low shot appears as Wayne runs over the camera, continuing to escape.
New shot appears asWayne then runs up to the camera quick and close, making it a MCU, looking very shocked and confused as he looks straight at the camera.
Music: High pitched scary instrument plays.
A MLS/POV shot appears as the Drakes [accomplices of antagonist] jump of the millstones and run up towards the camera, which would be Wayne.
A quick over-the-shoulder shot appears behind both of the Drakes, with Wayne between them, looking scared.
A MS appears and as Wayne is seen scurrying away but ends up falling to the ground.
A low MCU appears, showing Wayne complete the rest of his fall, showing signs of slight unconsciousness.
SFX: Ambulance alarm sounds.
A POV shot Wayne gaining consciousness and rising from the ground, only to see a Drake CU and being knocked back down, looking straight up at the sky. The Drake then appears over the camera and jumps towards it screaming. [Editing used to make occult face]
BLACK FRAME
SFX: Man screaming / scary, tense instrument played.
FADE IN FROM BLACK
Music: Unusual, natural, tribal instruments played.
LS of the forest trees, swings to the side to show Wayne tied to a tree.
Fades to a CU of Wayne's face, looking cut and bruised, as he regains consciousness, looking dazed and confused.
Fades to a MS of Wayne as the camera circles around the tree to establish the surroundings while seeing the state of Wayne.
Fades to an over-the-shoulder shot of Wayne looking at the tree in front of him.
SFX: Scary, tense, instrument played.
Tyga [the antagonist/killer] steps out of the tree which Wayne is looking at.
Fades to a MLS of Tyga from Wayne's POV, standing and looking very menacing.
FACE OUT TO BLACK
SFX: Loud shrieking.
The same shot then appears suddenly as Tyga changes positions from MLS to CU, scaring Wayne and the audience, as he screams. Shot is rotated constantly, with effects added to the face to make it look more menacing, with colours included.
FADE OUT TO BLACK
Image of cracked wall appears.
SFX: Disturbed grunts.

Location Of Our Opening Sequence
The location we have chosen is "Crane Park", this is a perfect location as it is quite isolated and creates a thriller atmosphere. There are many natural things that can be made scary, for example -
Rivers: character could fall, drown and even be killed in the river!
Steep hills: character could slip and get injured. The hills vary the tempo of the chase and add suspense.
Ally ways: In many films, crime and danger takes place in ally ways. These ally ways make the audience question if a dangerous event takes place in the ally way.
Low bridges uneven roads: character could fall of bridge and could trip on the uneven road.
Location shots of crane:
This location shot shows one of the many rivers in crane park. Although none of the characters use the river, it does add danger to the opening sequence and the flow of the river adds tension through sound.
A mysterious tower in crane park which was originally a gun powder production tower. This automatically associates conventions such as danger and death. In the opening sequence Wayne will run past this tower and a long shot will be shown of the tower.
Garage Band
Here is a sample of some music that was made in Garageband. Our group have used this software to make the sounds and music all throughout our opening sequence to create more suspense.
Opening Sequence Time Management.
To make sure my opening sequence does not go over 2 minutes i have produced a time management plan to estimate how long each event / scene will take.
1) Shots of Park forest (15 seconds)
Quiet scenery and sound
long shots with credits
Fade transition used between shots.
